Seeking therapeutic guidance can be intimidating and overwhelming; working on your challengings can be exhausting; a safe place to fail and explore yourself can be difficult to find. Just like these statements about therapy, authenticity is critical when it comes to my therapeutic approach. I aim to use a listening ear, warm empathy, and unconditional positive regard with all concerns brought to the table. With this approach, I strive for my clients to leave sessions feeling validated in their experience with a sense of hope for the future.     

I use clinically supported treatment modes that are applicable to the mind and body such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Solution-Focused, that can be tailored to the uniqueness of your world experience and identity. I have found that incorporating movement and mindfulness with clients has positively contributed to client progress.

About me:

My name is Lucy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. Originally a native Midwesterner, I obtained both my Bachelors and Masters in the city of Chicago. After gaining post graduate experience in the Florida Department of Corrections, I moved out West with my Fiance and 2 dogs to explore the beauty it has to offer. I grew up playing sports, pursuing softball collegiately, with most of my energy now being released through hikes, dog walks, and endurance horse riding. Self-care is a priority for me in order to care for my clients in the capacity they need. It has been a goal of mine to bring empowering knowledge around mental health to individuals that are ready for a positive change. I look forward to seeing how we can work towards that change together.
