“After getting out, I just can’t seem to connect with people.”

“I don’t know how I fit into the world anymore.”

“I can’t seem to find a purpose.”

“What I did and happened to me was my job, everybody went through it.”

“I don’t need therapy; I just need to get over it.”

“No one desires peace as much as the soldier, for he must pay the greatest penalty in war.”

-General Douglas MacArthur, 1945

“You are no longer human, with all those depths and highs and nuances of emotion that define you as a person. There is no feeling any more, because to feel any emotion would also be to beckon the overwhelming blackness from you. My mind has now locked all this down. And without any control of this self-defense mechanism my subconscious has operated. I do not feel any more.”

-Sergeant Jake Wood, USMC

Being a veteran takes many shapes.  From the bases stateside to the battlefield abroad, our veterans have served in every clime and place.  Upon separation, veterans often leave the services bearing scars both seen and unseen for their efforts.  Many military experiences do not directly translate back into the civilian world, and this sudden shift often leaves veterans feeling alienated, isolated, and without support.

Here at Momentum, we have clinicians who are also veterans, or family members of veterans.  We aim to bring the highest level of care to support those who sacrificed so much.  It would be our honor to work with you.

Together we can work to overcome:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Panic Attacks

  • Dissociation

  • Adjusting to the civilian world

  • Anger and irritability

  • Difficulty with sleep

  • Setting goals and schedules

If you find yourself struggling due to your experiences as a veteran or a loved one of a veteran, don’t hesitate to reach out to us today for a free 15-minute consultation with one of our clinicians.
